Product Description
These Air Force regulation guidons are made in accordance with official Air Force standards(Air Force Instruction 84-105). They measure 20" x 27 3/4" and feature an applique eagle and numbers/letters on both sides. They are finished with a pole hem and leather tab for mounting on a guidon staff.
Numbers/Letters measure 3 1/2" high up to 8 characters in length. Per USAF regulations, Numbers/letters can be reduced down to 1 3/4" in height to accommodate larger unit designations.
Our guidons exceed Military specs! We use two layers of fabric and we stitch every number and letter directly onto the fabric so there are no "panels" that show. This creates a much smoother and attractive look.
We use the most attractive and durable fabrics and the quality is simply unmatched. They are made from 200 denier nylon fabric for long life.
If you need a guidon for framing, select our single sided guidon which is made specifically for framing and not suitable for flying.
Our double-sided regulation guidons are ready to fly on your guidon staff. We also offer single-sided, regulation size guidons. These high quality USAF guidons are a popular choice for awards, presentation gifts, and retirements.

AIR FORCE INSTRUCTION 34-1201 18 AUGUST 2020 Guidon—A pennant used by an organization on ceremonial occasions, primarily by squadrons and flights. Guidons are ultramarine blue wool and nylon, nylon, or polyester bunting, swallowtailed, 1 foot 8 inches tall by 2 feet 3 inches wide to end of the swallowtail, and forked 10 inches. The Air Force yellow American Eagle design appears on the front of the guidon and on the reverse side as if printed through. Above the design is the designation of the parent unit; below it is the designation of the organization. The organization may use authorized abbreviations. When the number of the organization and the parent organization are the same, the lower line indicates only the alphabetical portion of the subordinate organization designation. Numerals and lettering are yellow, from 1 3/4 to 3-1/2 inches tall, and in varying widths. Lettering and numerals appear on both sides of the guidon, reading from left to right on both sides.
